“What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.” — Matthew 10:26
Being in BrandSpeakAsia means having numerous opportunities to meet different people I would otherwise not have crossed paths with. Spending an hour with a mountain climber, a financial analyst, or a chef opens doors to explore what is in their hearts – what pushes them to succeed in the things they do.
Over the span of almost two years, I have discovered that whenever I have face-to-face interaction with clients or hands-on involvement in events – that’s when I produce my best work as a writer. Hearing businessmen share their passion to uplift the country, experiencing the triumph of a team prevailing in a tough competition, and walking along with hundreds to fight world hunger makes the words I type more alive as I try to translate that living experience into letters and punctuation marks.
Writing is not just about having a great headline, the best lead or the most effective call to action – it is about capturing the heart of why this message needs to be told.
