The Bank of the Philippine Islands’ Expect More Digital Contest honored the creativity and humor of youth in line with BPI’s Expect More Freedom Campaign for their 24/7 Banking Services.

BPI’s Expect More Freedom Campaign aims to provide more convenience to its clients by addressing time and place constraints on banking services.  Trailblazing their presence in alternative banking channels through BPI 24/7 Banking, BPI provides  clients the opportunity to check account balance, pay bills, transfer funds and complete other transactions outside of the conventional banking hours, giving the clients the freedom to do banking transactions on their terms without the hassle of lines or closing time.

Through the campaign, BPI tapped the youth segment by going through a medium that they are most at ease and familiar with – the internet, specifically, YouTube in which video entries for BPI’s Expect More Digital Contest were posted.  The top ten most viewed videos were chosen as finalists and judged according to creativity, originality, and conformity to the theme. The young contestants produced humorous and poignant videos that best represent the freedom that BPI’s 24/7 banking services provide to them.

BPI President Aurelio Montinola III said, “BPI feels proud of having been able to extend an arm to the unique segment of the youth through the Expect More Freedom Campaign. As a client is the best influencer to other clients, we are glad that these talented young artists were able to communicate our message to their peers in a language and medium that appeals to most of them. You can have so much fun when using BPI’s 24/7 Banking Services and have the freedom to easily manage your finances even in the comfort of your own homes.  By enrolling into the 24/7 Channel, you can say yes to freedom!”

BPI was overwhelmed with the amount and quality of videos that came in. The videos showcased the talent, creativity, humor and zest for life of the youth in making and editing short films and pseudo-commercials. The young contestants produced humorous and poignant videos that best represent the freedom that BPI’s 24/7 banking services provides for them.
